Heating center for Trier University of Applied Sciences, Schneidershof
The Siemer office was entrusted with the planning for this building in 2013 by LBB, Trier branch.
Construction began in the spring of 2014 and ended in the spring of 2015. In the heating plant, various heating techniques are interconnected as required. The energy is fed into the district heating network of the university complex. In the long term, all existing buildings are to be refurbished in energy, so that in the future the entire heating energy requirement will be satisfied by this heating center alone.
The building impresses with the clear language of form, which reflects the technical purpose of the interior. The façade made of aluminum plates, bronze anodised, fits exceptionally well into the natural environment of the outer edge. Depending on the light incident, the surface of the façade changers and offers a special color play.
